Eligibility : A Canadian citizen with the sponsored spouse currently residing in or outside Canada OR a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada, while your spouse or common-law partner is outside Canada.

Benefits : Your spouse can apply for a visitor's visa while your sponsorship is in progress.

Refusal : If an overseas sponsorship application is refused, an appeal can be made to the Immigration Appeal Division (IAS).
